(New Zealand)

Berlin Burlesque is a raunchy night full of circus, song, theatre and mayhem performed by The Loons Circus Theatre Company with live accompaniment from Carmel Courtney and band.
Based on the story of Erik Jan Hanussen, a lover of women and of the casbah, a mentalist and variety theatre owner in Berlin, whose career parallels Hitler’s rise.
Berlin Burlesque is a visual extravaganza that uses original projection of 1920s Berlin and combines the words of Joe Bennett and the skills of circus and theatre. The Theatre Royal will be transformed into a cabaret venue complete with catwalk, extravagant lighting and sound and visual effects.
If you liked The Butler, then you’ll love Berlin Burlesque!
NOTE: If you buy in the cabaret area your ticket gives you a table number, but the seats are not numbered. Arrive early to make your choice.
