Peter Simpson was to give this talk at the Christchurch Art Gallery on 23 February; it was cancelled but is now presented here. With copious images, Peter explores Bensemann’s place in our cultural history, his involvement with Caxton Press and The Group, and his own work that was radically out of step with his contemporaries. Peter Simpson is Director of The Holloway Press at the University of Auckland and is a well-known writer, editor, publisher and curator.
Leo Bensemann and Peter Simpson both have strong Nelson roots and connections.
